Research has long supported the idea that increasing the volume of reading increases vocabulary growth and knowledge. How does volume of reading in the Science of Reading classroom differ from what we’ve seen in the past? And why exactly are vocabulary and knowledge so important to reading success?

Join reading comprehension experts David and Meredith Liben, authors of Know Better, Do Better: Comprehension, and Dr. Amanda Alexander, Chief Academic Officer at Scholastic, for a conversation about the importance of increasing students’ volume of reading. They discuss the research and offer educators practical ways to incorporate this vital practice into reading instruction.

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to K-12 school and district leaders.
