While the category of “struggling readers” is broad, we can identify common profiles of students who struggle. This raises some obvious questions. If we know why so many students struggle, then why do national reading scores continue to decline—and why do many interventions fail to produce the desired results?

View this edWebinar for the answers as we explore recent studies of how students are performing in reading and how they grow (or fail to grow) across school years. You’ll understand:

  • The most common profiles of struggling readers
  • When reading interventions have the greatest chance of success
  • How to track your interventions’ effectiveness at the system, school, and classroom levels—and when to fade or intensify your efforts
  • How to make the most of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework to guide reading proficiency by third grade

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to K-12 teachers and school and district leaders.
