There is a powerful connection in the way young children learn to talk and then subsequently learn to read and write. Language foundations continue to impact literacy learning in reading comprehension and writing composition. What is your understanding of the basic structures of oral language and how these structures contribute to literacy learning? What are research-based language strategies we can use to facilitate oral language that support literacy learning?

Join Dr. Lucy Hart Paulson, literacy expert, author, and educator, in talking about the TALK that makes a difference for our young students. By the end of this edWebinar, viewers are able to:

  • Describe oral language structures and general developmental trends
  • Describe how oral language impacts written language learning
  • Implement oral language strategies to enhance all of literacy learning

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to PreK-2 teachers and school and district leaders.
