Schools are collecting more assessment data than ever, yet it can be difficult to organize it in a way that leads to action. The research within the Science of Reading suggests organizing assessment data within a larger school improvement framework, conducting early screening, targeting the lowest skill need, and monitoring and changing instruction over time.
This edWebinar supports K-5 educators to turn their reading assessment into actions that improve results for all students. Viewers learn:
- Why organizing assessment within a schoolwide framework leads to clearer, more actionable decisions
- The research behind early screening and identifying each student’s lowest skill need
- Instructional routines for monitoring progress and adjusting instruction to improve reading outcomes
This recorded edWebinar is of interest to K-5 teachers, school leaders, and district leaders.
