edWeb 2026 Professional Learning Survey

edWeb Professional Learning Survey 2026

edWeb’s 2026 Annual Survey continues to show the value of online professional learning with more choice, flexibility, and impact on professional practice and students’ academic progress and social-emotional needs.

For 10 years, edWeb has been conducting an annual professional learning survey with our members to assess our members’ professional learning preferences and edWeb’s impact on educator practice and student learning and needs. Online, anytime learning gives teachers and staff more choice and autonomy for their professional learning, improves motivation and enjoyment, and provides a better work/life balance that supports all staff.

Year after year, our survey confirms the importance of content that is current and relevant. edWeb presents 400 new live edWebinars a year in our online professional learning communities on 100’s of topics. We have 4,000 edWebinar recordings available on-demand and 600 podcasts. We provide CE certificates for edWebinars that are widely accepted for district PD hours and teacher license renewal.

We do this work in collaboration with 500 partners and sponsors who help us crowdsource the best experts and most innovative educators to share their knowledge, ideas, and practices in a peer-to-peer learning environment. All of our edWebinars and CE certificates are free, thanks to their support.

Our survey shows that edWeb has a big impact on educator knowledge and practice, and student learning. Educators share their learning with colleagues, increasing the impact. With over 1 million educators in 185 countries, that is a powerful way to spread the best ideas and practices in education. The comments we receive every year help us continually improve our services.

The survey was conducted in January 2026 and was sent via email to 150,000 edWeb members. We received 1,050 replies, a comparable response to past years.

Survey Results

The first question in the survey asks, “What types of professional development activities help you improve the most?” Our members have consistently responded that webinars are #1.

edWeb is an awesome program. It provides a large body of information for teachers, educators, principals, and others in the teaching and learning profession to know what is happening and how to plan, use/share new research, data, necessary tools, and strategies with teachers to promote students’ learning with the necessary skills for the workplace and to solve problems in real time. It is flexible in that topics/time are given to join at special schedules which allow both presenters and participants to engage in interactive discussion with diverse groups to share and learn and to use the resources to benefit their schools and students in education. It is also free for anyone to participate and to share with others the skills so that performance can improve toward success. Excellent work.

This website is a professional treasure trove. It is just-in-time learning opportunities. I am so glad that I discovered this valuable resource. I would have given anything to have access to this when I first started teaching. Many thanks to the many sponsors who make this possible for educators. As a lifelong learner, I appreciate the access to world-renowned literacy leaders. THANK YOU!

I’ve been using it for over 10 years and recommending it since then and always find it a wealth of useful information and enjoy that you can go back to missed webinars. Thank you!!
