Becky MungleAbout the Presenters

Becky Mungle is a 25-year veteran of education with an emphasis in research-based interventions and teaching techniques. She spent the first seven years of her career teaching in both elementary and middle school and has been an elementary principal for the past 18 years. She is currently working as an elementary principal in Southern Indiana and serves as a consultant for Readable English. Becky has worked tirelessly to address the literacy problem facing our schools and successfully utilizes Readable English to support struggling readers in her school. She is a current member of IASP and a member of Pi Lambda Theta Honor Society.

 

Kati BrewKati Brew attended the University of Kentucky where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in special education. She began her career teaching near Nashville, Tennessee in 2016. She moved to Indiana in 2019 and is currently a middle school resource teacher at Franklin Central Junior High School. Kati is a dedicated educator who loves to see the growth in her students while helping them reach their goals and true potential.

 

Rita FerrandinoAbout the Moderator

Rita Ferrandino has built an international reputation as one of the most effective strategists and coalition builders in the education entrepreneurship community. She is a recognized STEM education expert, an authority on U.S. education policy and politics, and a leader in Future of Work strategies. Rita currently is the innovation consultant at the Catalyst @ Penn GSE Innovation Center at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. She was the lead capstone instructor at the Education Entrepreneurship Graduate Program for four years. For three years, she was President of the Education Design Studio, Inc. Incubator funded in collaboration with the Milken Family Foundation and University of Pennsylvania.
