About the Presenters

Ami Shah is the CEO and co-founder of Peekapak, an award-winning edtech organization that teaches social-emotional learning skills like self-regulation, empathy and teamwork in the class and at home. Ami is passionate about improving youth education and has previously taught in K-4 classrooms and advised and volunteered at education-related non-profit organizations.

Dr. Nicole Trainor has spent the past two decades working in the Long Branch Public Schools as a teacher, child study team member, preschool intervention and referral team specialist, and student advisor. She completed her doctorate in educational leadership from Monmouth University. She has a passion for social-emotional learning and has been working hard to spread awareness of its benefits to students, staff, parents and the community.
