Explore top assistive technology tools to ignite a love of reading in grades three to eight. Beginning in third grade, most classrooms have moved into the reading-to-learn stage. This means that our struggling readers that still need skill building in reading skill development are often left behind when it comes to accessing grade level curriculum and content. Assistive technology can be a tremendous support to these students by helping them achieve academic and performance outcomes right on track with their peers. Let’s explore the right tools for the right students with the right goal in mind.

In this edWebinar, Mike Marotta, a RESNA Certified Assistive Technology Professional, shares a broad range of low- and high-tech applications and tools to support struggling readers in these grades when it comes to keeping up with classroom assignments. By focusing on the features of available tools, participants will be able to identify appropriate tools to meet the needs of each individual whether it be for assigned reading with a textbook or novel or pleasure reading.

This recorded event will benefit educators of struggling readers at all grade levels, especially grades three to eight, as well as administrators, librarians, and AT specialists. Learn about the latest assistive technology to support your grade three to eight readers.
