What does authentic, powerful student engagement look like in the math classroom, and how can teachers create more of it? In this research-based edWebinar, we explore the different levels of cognitive engagement and discover how small shifts can lead to big gains. You learn how to recognize various levels of engagement, understand which types have the greatest impact on learning, and apply practical strategies to move students toward deeper thinking and richer interaction.

Through relatable classroom examples and quick routines, you get the chance to reflect on your own teaching and leave with powerful engagement ideas you can implement tomorrow. You gain the tools and knowledge necessary to spark curiosity, strengthen connections, and build a classroom culture where every learner is actively involved. This recorded edWebinar is of interest to elementary and middle school teachers and school leaders.
