Even though most schools have seen a steady increase in the number of multilingual students in the classroom, more than 60% of teachers indicate they have not had sufficient professional development opportunities on the topic of multilingual learners.

This edWebinar explores the transformative role of instructional coaching in supporting teachers in their important work with multilingual learners and closing achievement gaps. Through practical insights and real-world examples, viewers leave equipped to use coaching as a powerful tool to make intentional changes across the school day. Every teacher deserves the opportunity to work with an instructional coach. By the end of this session, viewers are able to:

  • Identify and apply key coaching strategies that effectively support teachers in improving instruction for multilingual learners
  • Develop collaborative practices between coaches and teachers that enhance language development and academic achievement
  • Communicate the four components of a powerful professional learning plan and the difference instructional coaching makes for implementation

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to K-12 teachers, instructional coaches, and school leaders.
