Paige Pullen

About the Presenters

Paige Pullen, Ph.D., Chief Academic Officer at the University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning, oversees the academics and research and evaluation teams. Prior to joining the Lastinger Center, Dr. Pullen served as faculty for 16 years at the University of Virginia at the Schools of Education and Medicine. Considered an expert in her field, Dr. Pullen has authored multiple pieces on literacy and special education and conducted professional development for teachers worldwide. She has served on several editorial boards including as Editor-in-Chief of Exceptionality: A Special Education Journal. Honors include the 2011 Seven Society Outstanding Mentor Award and the 2010 Outstanding Professor at the University of Virginia.

Sarah DeCotis

Sarah DeCotis is a National Literacy Director at Age of Learning. She has more than 15 years of experience in public education for Broward County Public Schools, the sixth-largest district in the U.S. During her tenure, she served as an educator, literacy specialist, and district leader. As a district administrator, she spearheaded systematic and organizational changes that involved adopting evidence-based literacy practices grounded in the Science of Reading.
