edWeb Best Practices 2022: Virtual Professional LearningedWeb.net, an award-winning professional learning network and a leader in best practices for virtual professional learning, is now offering a School District Membership. edWeb will help school districts create a private professional learning hub on edWeb.net for communication and collaboration and as a resource for teachers and all staff to have more choice and flexibility in how they earn their PD hours.

edWeb has worked with a growing number of school districts over the past year to re-invent professional learning to better support the needs of teachers, administrators, and all staff. edWeb’s high-quality edWebinars and podcasts can be aligned with district goals and also provide a flex PD option for independent professional learning that meets individual needs and interests.

edWeb provides school districts with an equitable, sustainable, and affordable option with a private online networking hub for all staff that meets accessibility requirements and provides over 3,000 edWebinar recordings and 350 podcasts on the widest range of topics in preK – 12 education. edWebinars are approved for teacher re-licensure in 42 states.

Lisa Schmucki, founder and CEO of edWeb.net, announced that Larry Cocco has joined edWeb as Senior Professional Learning Consultant and will advise school districts on all the ways they can use edWeb to meet their goals and support their staff. Larry is a long-time member of the edWeb Advisory Board, former Director of Educational Technology for the New Jersey Department of Education, a SETDA State Leader of the Year, and a national leader on digital learning and transformational educational practices. Lisa commented, “Larry has been a wonderful advisor and evangelist as edWeb has grown over the past 15 years. I’m so happy that the timing is perfect for him to join the edWeb team as we embark on the opportunity to provide school districts with professional learning resources that are so needed, in challenging times, to support all staff and more work-life balance.”

School administrators can learn how the Wayne Township Schools and the Princeton Public Schools have re-invented their professional learning programs using edWeb as a private professional learning hub, providing great models for others to follow.

Mark Toback, Superintendent of Wayne Township Schools, commented, “edWeb has shown us a glimpse of the future of PD. I was very impressed with what I first saw. As time goes by, the only thing we see is more opportunity to enhance our PD program.”

Carol Kelly, Superintendent of Princeton Public Schools, commented, “Our school district is a new participant on edWeb and our staff are loving the autonomy to fulfill their flex PD via edWeb’s platform. I would highly recommend it.”

School districts can save 25% if they sign up for a School District Membership by July 1.
