Are you working with students on a writing assignment or a project in art, film, journalism, or science? Maybe you’re the educator supporting students’ passion projects across the curriculum. This edWebinar sparks a flurry of new ideas about using visual content in your lesson and project plans. When we give students the opportunity to add imagery to work, we can open a world of inspiration, creativity, critical thinking, and communications.

Sky Bergman, an educator and accomplished, award-winning photographer and filmmaker, shares some simple, but impactful, tips for doing more than simply “taking” pictures that helps teachers and students alike. She introduces the Lives Well Lived project that she’s created, a film project that’s currently featured on PBS LearningMedia which can be adapted for use across the curriculum. She also shares project ideas to get students motivated and excited about photography and offer insights and information about the tools, including digital pen technology, she uses to create her work. This session sparks new creativity for you and your students now and for years to come!

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to K-12 teachers, librarians, school and district leaders, education technology leaders, curriculum leaders, and educators involved in art, ELA, social studies, media arts, journalism, film, and creative writing.
