Stacy Stewart

About the Presenters

Stacy Stewart (She/Her) is an esteemed education leader with over three decades of experience. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Networks at Leading Educators in Harlem’s Community School District, she previously spent 31 years with the Chicago Public Schools, notably as Deputy Chief of Schools for Network 13 and an award-winning principal at Belmont-Cragin. Stacy’s influence extends internationally through her work on personalized learning, recognized both nationally and abroad. Her initiatives, including pioneering the first dual language school on Chicago’s Northwest Side and securing a $54 million capital project for a new school building, have left a lasting impact on the Belmont-Cragin community. Additionally, Stacy‘s collaborations with organizations like LEAP Innovations have enhanced personalized learning and professional development for educators, further solidifying her legacy as a transformative force in education.

Chris Graves

Dr. Chris Graves is a sixth-year principal, who transitioned to the principalship at Jordan Community Elementary last summer. He is excited to be leading in a community that is thriving due to the way that staff and families embrace the needs and unique strengths of families who move to the neighborhood from all over the world for the opportunities that it offers. There are over 25 languages spoken at Jordan, and while most families have had to traverse myriad challenges to get to Chicago, it’s a focus of Dr. Graves’ work to support staff in their work to help students succeed. Dr. Graves received his bachelor’s degree in music education from Albion College, and a master’s in music education from the University of Illinois. He received school administrative training from Indiana University and New Leaders and completed his educational doctorate degree from Illinois State University.

Jill Gildea

As the Superintendent of Schools at Park City School District, Dr. Jill Gildea leads a team of educators and administrators who are committed to engaging stakeholders in continuous improvement that is student centered and future focused. She has over 20 years of experience in K-12 public education, with a proven track record of promoting excellence, innovation, and accountability in various leadership roles. Dr. Gildea holds an Ed.D. in educational leadership and has AASA National Certification. She is a frequent presenter and author on topics such as school culture, curricula, assessment, and evaluation systems.
