Social-emotional skills are essential tools for navigating life. Although educators understand the importance of social-emotional learning, facilitating opportunities for students to develop these skills and attitudes through subject-specific content may seem daunting. Accordingly, this engaging edWebinar explores tools for integrating social-emotional learning into ELA lessons, including utilizing existing resources to help learners develop healthier identities, forge stronger and richer relationships, and make responsible, empathetic decisions. Topics include:

  • An overview of the components of SEL
  • Integrating SEL through reading, writing, speaking, and listening
  • Using Essential Questions to facilitate self-reflection

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to K-12 teachers and school and district leaders.
