Think Like an Engineer

Presented by Carol Mueller, Educational Consultant
Sponsored by Carolina Biological Supply Company

Watch the Recording

Is thinking like an engineer the same as thinking like a scientist? While there are many similarities, the unique way engineers think is a valuable skill that can benefit all students as they learn, explore careers, and become global citizens of the 21st century. The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) three-dimensional learning standards expect K-5 educators to embed the 8 Science and Engineering Practices into every science class.

In this edWebinar, educational consultant Carol Mueller explores the four stages of how real engineers work and offer practical tips on how easily these can be incorporated into the science classroom. This recorded presentation will be of particular benefit to elementary through middle school teachers, school and district leaders, and other STEM or STEAM educators as well as anyone interested in the NGSS.
