What can we do when learners underperform or don’t seem to “fit in?” Instead of stigmatizing learners with underperforming or isolating labels, there’s a better way. Implementing the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework guides educators to transform marginalizing and inflexible classrooms into welcoming, culturally responsive, and supportive learning environments where every learner achieves and feels a sense of belonging.

Join UDL expert Dr. Patti Kelly Ralabate for this edWebinar to learn how educators can apply the UDL framework with an equity lens. Gain insights and access to resources from her new book, True Inclusion with UDL: Designing to the Edges to Reach Every Learner. During this session, viewers:

  • Define “True Inclusion” and the why, what, and how of “designing to the edges”
  • Replace the myth of the average learner with a new understanding of diversity and equity
  • Explore how the UDL framework integrated with culturally responsive practices creates equity-based learning environments

This recorded edWebinar is a must for PreK-12 general educators, special educators and related service professionals, and higher education faculty.
