Ty Gorman

About the Presenters

Ty Gorman is the Director of Innovation for Barrington 220 School District, serving 13 schools with 8,000 students and 1,500 staff. With over two decades of experience in K-12 education, his roots in psychology and learning design inform his advocacy for using innovative technology and pedagogy to create flexible and personalized learning environments. Ty holds two master’s degrees and is currently working towards his doctorate. Digital citizenship curricula and a 1:1 technology program exemplify a commitment to dynamic, student-centered education.

Matt Fuller

Dr. Matt J. Fuller is Assistant Superintendent of Technology and Innovation for Barrington 220 School District, a PK–12+ public school district northwest of Chicago. He has served in educational technology leadership roles in Illinois school districts including Winnetka District 36, Des Plaines District 62, and Wilmette District 39. Dr. Fuller holds a Doctor of Education in educational leadership and a Master of Education in administration and supervision from National Louis University (Skokie, Illinois). He began his education career as a band director and music teacher with a Bachelor of Music from DePauw University (Greencastle, Indiana). Dr. Fuller is an Apple Distinguished Educator (Class of 2007) and an Apple Teacher. Dr. Fuller’s research papers available as free downloads on Apple Books include Tap the Screen: Technology Integration in Our Students’ Lives; Slide to Unlock: Creating a Technology-Integrated Environment for Our Students; and Click to Agree: Policies Impacting a One-to-One Mobile Learning Environment.
