About the Presenters

Dr. Jodie Donner is an award-winning learning experience developer and educator currently working as a Senior Instructional Designer at Committee for Children. Having spent 25 years in education, Dr. Donner has co-created a technology course for preservice teachers, co-designed and led professional learning aimed at the equitable advancement of computer science education for underserved students, and now creates engaging learning opportunities that support human skill development in K-12 students. Building professional learning communities and supporting the work of classroom educators is a prominent focus of her work, presentations, and publications.

Emily Wray

Emily Wray is an educator, communications specialist, and the creator of the RISE Model for Meaningful Feedback—a widely adopted framework used in organizations and institutions around the world to strengthen how people give and receive feedback. With a background in media communications and instructional design, Emily has spent over a decade helping leaders, educators, and teams build trust, improve collaboration, and communicate with clarity. Her work bridges theory and practice, offering practical tools that foster real growth. Today, she leads RISE with the mission of making feedback more thoughtful, actionable, and human.
