Many STEM resources focus only on science and math—this edWebinar shows you how to incorporate technology and engineering, too! This session focuses on integrated STEM experiences that encourage children to engage in design processes – finding a problem, imagining, planning, creating/constructing, and revising. Integrated STEM learning enables early childhood educators to engage young children’s minds in exploring problems, trying out new ideas, and sharing what they know and can do with others.

- Discuss the importance of child-led, integrative STEM learning
- Explore possibilities for classroom projects using everyday materials
- Explore the teaching practices that can help educators successfully implement STEM explorations that engage and encourage children to explore their thinking as well as STEM content

About the Presenter
Angela Eckhoff, Ph.D. is a Professor of Teaching and Learning at Old Dominion University. She holds a dual Ph.D. from the University of Colorado–Boulder in educational psychology and cognitive science. She is the author of the Creative Investigations series available from Gryphon House.
