About the Presenters

Ronda French, a native of Northeast Ohio, holds a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Psychology Specialist degree from Cleveland State University. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and holds Ohio Pupil Services, Principal, and Superintendent licensure.

Now in her seventh year as a District Administrator for Medina City Schools, Ronda previously served as a school psychologist for nearly a decade. She is passionate about advocating for proactive mental health strategies, inclusion for individuals with disabilities, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. She is also a Branching Minds Pathfinder.

Outside of work, Ronda is deeply family and community oriented. She lives in Northeast Ohio with her husband, two daughters, and their beloved dog. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new foods, reading sci-fi novels, and staying active.

Sandra Spruell is an experienced educator and educational consultant with a strong background in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and intervention strategies. As an Educational Consultant at Branching Minds, Sandra has held various leadership roles. With over three decades in public education, she has taught multiple grade levels and contributed to districtwide initiatives in curriculum design, teacher mentorship, and professional development. Holding a master’s in educational leadership and multiple certifications, Sandra is dedicated to improving student outcomes and supporting educators.

Jason Schrammel has dedicated his career to fostering student growth, empowering educators, and shaping dynamic learning environments. With over 22 years of experience in public education, Jason began as a special educator for 12 years, where he developed a deep understanding of individualized learning needs and the importance of inclusive education. This foundation led to leadership roles, including one year as an assistant principal, four years as a K-12 principal, and three years as a middle school principal. He has spent the last two years guiding the Valhalla Union Free School District as its Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction.

As a data-informed educator, Jason is committed to leveraging all available information to support student learning and to provide teachers with the tools necessary to help their students thrive. At the heart of his leadership is a vision for an engaging, proactive, and student-centered learning community—one that fosters academic and social success through strong partnerships between schools and families.

Central to this mission is the development of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)—a structured framework ensuring that all students receive the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions they need to succeed. By implementing clear and consistent structures and strategies, Jason creates an educational environment where every learner is supported in reaching his/her/their fullest potential. Driven by a passion for educating the whole child, Jason leads with a vision that places students at the center of its decision making, values collaboration, and embraces innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
