It was lots of fun under the Circus Big Top this weekend! Frog Street’s 23rd annual professional development conference, SUMMER SPLASH 2015, was a huge success – and edWeb.net was there to join in the festivities! Internationally acclaimed keynote speakers, expert teachers, thought leaders in early childhood education and even professional musicians made this a conference not to miss!

Charles Pearson, President of Frog Street Press, welcomed over 2,500 early childhood educators. He discussed the exciting weekend ahead of them, the great resources for schools and teachers, and the outstanding lineup of keynote speakers, including Mrs. Laura Bush. Additionally, he announced that the professional learning community Frog Street sponsors on edWeb.net, Early Childhood Learning Solutions, just surpassed 13,000 members, becoming the #1 learning community on edWeb.net this month!

Many of the learning community webinar presenters, such as Mary Jo Huff, Travis and Pete, and Marianne Gibbs, were on-hand to meet with teachers and present learning sessions. Ringmaster Stephen Fite ushered over 2,000 teachers into Friday night’s event to attend Fanny Frog’s dinner that included magic, dancing, and awards. Most attendees dressed as circus clowns in honor of the circus celebration theme! And last but not least, the closing session included a keynote with former first lady, Mrs. Laura Bush.
