edWeb.net to Partner with Frog Street Press for New Online Professional Learning Community on Early Childhood Learning Solutions

Frog Street LogoedWeb.net and Frog Street Press will partner to help early childhood educators positively impact the future of young children in the classroom by creating a free online professional learning community on Early Childhood Learning Solutions. The announcement was made today by Lisa Schmucki, founder and CEO of edWeb.net, and Charles Pierson, President of Frog Street Press, a leading provider of educational tools designed to enlighten and enrich the minds of toddlers, pre-K and kindergarten students.

Lisa Schmucki, founder and CEO of edWeb.net, said, “We look forward to working with Frog Street Press to help early childhood educators evaluate and utilize curriculum, educational materials and resources for the classroom. Our goal for this community is to help educators, care givers and administrators provide the necessary developmental building blocks that are so important for school readiness.”

Pierson adds, “We are so pleased to work with edWeb as we strive to fulfill our mission of impacting the lives of young learners by providing quality professional development to early childhood teachers. Frog Street will launch this new professional learning community in conjunction with edWeb at our annual early childhood educational conference, SPLASH 2014, July 17-19, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas.”

The Early Childhood Learning Solutions community provides free webinars, presented by experts, industry leaders and educators, that will help early childhood teachers enhance their lessons and classrooms to improve their work with young learners. Educators receive a CE Certificate for attending the live webinars or viewing the recording. The community hosts online discussions that make it easy for educators to stay connected over time with fellow educators to share ideas, practices, examples, lesson plans, and resources. The community is a growing resource center with webinar archives, CE quizzes, and support materials that can be accessed at anytime, anywhere.

For over 25 years, Frog Street Press has made it their mission to help teachers and caregivers create a joyful environment with intentionality of instruction that develops early childhood minds. Frog Street will bring its history of dedication to professional development by bringing extensive knowledge, research and resources to the edWeb.net community members via monthly webinars and online discussions.
