Online professional learning is a great way for educators to keep up with the rapid pace of change in education. Continuing education is required for state re-certification and by most school districts so teachers can stay current with best practices. Online learning provides more flexibility and can also be more collaborative and engaging.
In this webinar, ETIN (Education Technology Network of SIIA) and edWeb.net reported on recent surveys that each organization conducted on online professional learning.
Every year, ETIN administers an online survey for K-20 educators. In 2016, ETIN asked educators to provide information about their experience with online professional learning. ETIN shared the results from the survey and discuss what the results tell us about online professional learning practices. Why are educators enrolling in online professional learning courses? What courses are they taking? Who provides the courses?
edWeb.net recently conducted a survey on Teacher Professional Development that explores teacher assessment of professional learning networks and programs. What are the professional learning formats and program features do teachers prefer? Why do teachers engage in professional learning? How do teachers rate the sites that provide online professional learning?
This webinar will benefit any professional interested in online learning.
