Empowering students to lead their own investigations transforms classrooms into spaces of curiosity, exploration, and equity. This edWebinar will introduce the Driving Question Board (DQB), a tool that fosters student agency by encouraging learners to shape understanding through evidence-based questions.
Attendees will learn to use anchoring phenomena to launch the DQB, support diverse learners in sharing ideas beyond academic constraints, and guide students in building scientific models and explanations. This session emphasizes equity by honoring students’ backgrounds and voices, creating a collaborative environment where all contributions are valued. Educators will gain practical strategies for implementing the DQB, addressing early challenges, and cultivating a classroom culture that celebrates curiosity and diverse perspectives.
Join us to explore how the DQB can make science instruction more inclusive, relevant, and student driven—where learners ask questions, investigate ideas, and find their place in the scientific process. This edWebinar will be of interest to K-12 school leaders and district leaders.
