This edWebinar explores actionable ways to support the development of a positive, inclusive school climate by leveraging schoolwide social-emotional learning (SEL). SEL has long been considered a tool for creating positive school and classroom climates, but what does that look like in high school? Learn how to take SEL out of self-contained lessons and infuse it into your school environment by engaging educators and students in co-creating an SEL-supportive school climate.
Discover leader-led, schoolwide SEL strategies that support the development of key aspects of school climate while simultaneously creating the type of environment students need to build lifelong social-emotional competencies. In this session, viewers investigate the importance of school climate for students and educators, explore the connection between schoolwide SEL and positive school climate, and learn to apply SEL strategies to bolster school climate.
This recorded edWebinar is of interest to school and district leaders of the middle and high school grades.
