In a year that brought trauma and separation to all of us, we could still see the shining light of the family system in all its complex and layered diversity and how this system fuels the success of an entire school district and community. In this edWebinar, Pam Allyn, award-winning literacy leader, innovator and author of many books for parents, caregivers and educators, Yalitza Vasquez, renowned English learners and family engagement leader, and Dr. Ernest Morrell, Associate Dean of Humanities and Equity at Notre Dame University,  share their vision for a new era of family inclusion and equity.

They share best practices, principles and a new solution for how to link families to the life of the school and schools to the life of the family. They discuss the confluence of academics, linguistic diversity, cultural responsiveness and social-emotional learning and how to take transformational steps to building a world for children and young adults that resonates with the shared power of this vital partnership. Viewers will leave with a new framework for schools and families with a set of fresh and practical tools for authentic family engagement and learning.

This recorded edWebinar will be of interest to all educators.
