About the Presenter
Marie L. Masterson, Ph.D. is Director of Quality Assessment at McCormick Center for Early Childhood Leadership and is a national speaker, behavior expert, and researcher. She is the author of multiple books including Enjoying the Parenting Roller Coaster: Nurturing and Empowering Children through the Ups and Downs, 101 Principles for Positive Guidance, The Essentials for Family Childcare Professionals, and Let’s Talk Toddlers: A Practical Guide to High Quality Care. Marie is former early childhood specialist for the Virginia Department of Education and a university professor. She currently oversees evaluation for Illinois quality rating and improvement system and contributes to training materials that support high-quality early childhood care and education. Marie is the mother of four children, a licensed teacher, a passionate child advocate, and a parent educator.
