Let’s explore how making simple shifts to your daily routine can have a big impact on creating an inclusive classroom where all children can participate, engage, and thrive! Integrating age-appropriate, whole-group musical learning and play fosters a truly inclusive classroom setting, where all children can engage appropriately while avoiding sensory overload and other behaviors that lead to isolating a child from the group.

We start this edWebinar with a brief review of current early childhood brain research, grounding ourselves in how musical learning supports development for all children, specifically those who are neurodivergent, on the autism spectrum, or may have cognitive and developmental delays. We spend the majority of our time filling our toolboxes with developmentally appropriate songs, fingerplays, and musical activities to engage all of your students.

Even if you’ve never sung a note in your life, you leave feeling empowered and inspired to start integrating musical learning and play into your daily classroom routine to create a healthy, happy classroom where all students feel seen, heard, and included. This recorded edWebinar is of interest to early childhood teachers, school leaders, and district leaders.

My Music Starts Here

My Music Starts Here is a supplemental curriculum resource designed for Pre-K, Head Start, and Special Education programs. It helps early childhood educators and school administrators integrate music into everyday classrooms to accelerate brain development, literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and more. Created by early childhood educators for early childhood educators, the program bridges the gap between brain research and classroom practice—transforming the latest in neuro-musical science into joyful, accessible, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

Our 33-week classroom resource includes seven musical activities per week, naturally woven into the rhythm of the school day—from transitions to group learning to quiet reflection. All content supports deep learning and mastery while remaining curriculum agnostic, playful, and inclusive for children ages 3–6. In addition to the complete classroom program, My Music Starts Here also offers professional development for educators. Get started at mymusicstartshere.com.
