Strengthen learning, wellness, and belonging in everyday practice. In recognition of Child Health Day, this edWebinar, combined with a livestream demonstration, connects ISTE+ASCD’s Transformational Learning Principles (TLPs) and Whole Child framework with ready-to-use resources from The Achievery to support mental and emotional well-being for students and the adults who serve them. In this edWebinar, you engage in a three-part experience:
- Teach: Gain expert insights into ASCD’s Whole Child principles and learn simple routines that build psychological safety and support wellness.
- Model: Observe an Achievery lesson that models everyday wellness skills, such as healthy relationships, self-care, or resilience, and see how it supports students’ mental and emotional health. This portion of the presentation will be livestreamed on YouTube to reach a wider audience of educators, parents, and students.
- Reflect: Identify one Whole Child/TLP practice and one Achievery resource you can implement right away—for your students and for your own well-being. This segment will also include Q&A.
Expect brief framing, concrete classroom examples, and small wins that add up. Whether you are a teacher, counselor, or school leader, you leave with actionable strategies to deepen learning, wellness, and belonging in your setting. In today’s complex world, supporting children’s complete development—intellectual, physical, social, and emotional—isn’t just beneficial, it’s essential.
This recorded edWebinar is of interest to K-8 teachers, librarians, school leaders, and education technology leaders.
Special Livestream on YouTube: The Model portion of this edWebinar was simultaneously livestreamed on YouTube from 12:30 – 12:45 pm Eastern time so you can share that portion of the presentation with a wider audience including your school, parents, and students. You can share the ISTE+ASCD YouTube LiveStream recording with the wider audience.
