About the Presenters
Elizabeth Moreland is the instructional coach at Adair-Casey Elementary and Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center Junior High in Iowa. Elizabeth is in her 13th year of education. She got her teaching degree from Buena Vista University with endorsements in special education, reading, and computer science. Her masters in educational leadership came from Northwest Missouri State University. Elizabeth has helped lead the implementation of Unruly Splats in her district. Outside of school you can find her chasing three children around and attending the many events they are involved in. On the rare occasion she gets a moment of quiet time, you’ll find her hiking or in a kayak.
Dr. Molly M. Jameson is a Professor of Psychological Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado and the Director of UNC’s Center for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning. Her research focuses on math anxiety, including developing the first scale to assess it in primary-grade students, now used internationally. Dr. Jameson earned her Ph.D. in educational psychology from Ball State University and joined UNC in 2015. She teaches courses on learning, assessment, and psychology, emphasizing positive emotion and relevance in education. An award-winning educator and researcher, she is active in multiple professional organizations and editorial boards, regularly supporting educators and parents in improving math confidence and performance among students.
James Sanders is the Product Marketing Manager at Unruly Studios, where he champions the transformative potential of Unruly Math and Unruly Code for K-12 education. With over 15 years of experience in the field, James has helped introduce tools like Chromebooks, YouTube for Education, and Breakout EDU to schools. His efforts focus on empowering educators with innovative strategies to enhance learning and engagement in the classroom. His background in integrating technology into education is complemented by his background as the founder and CEO of Breakout EDU, a Presidential Innovation Fellow at the White House, and an Innovation Manager for KIPP Schools.
