About the Presenters
Celeste D. Myers is a dedicated educator with 14 years of experience across multiple grade levels, from kindergarten to secondary education. Holding a master’s degree in early childhood education, she is currently pursuing a second master’s in secondary education from Tulane University, with plans to add certifications in literacy and dyslexia. A native of New Orleans, Celeste now serves as a Literacy Specialist and English I teacher at Edna Karr High School in Algiers, Louisiana, where she is deeply committed to enhancing her students’ reading and writing skills.
Her passion for literacy extends beyond the classroom as the founder of Literacy NOLA, an initiative dedicated to improving literacy rates among scholars in her community. Celeste is an active member of several professional and community organizations, including Kappa Delta Pi (International Honor Society in Education), the National Society of Leadership and Success, and the Mardi Gras Krewe Femme Fatale. She is also a devoted mother to her son, Robert Wallace Jr. Driven by a profound commitment to education, Celeste is on a mission to empower every student to become a confident, lifelong reader.

Dr. Lori Silver, National Literacy Consultant at Lexia, is a former teacher, instructional coach, administrator, and district-level leader who is dedicated to enhancing literacy efforts from the classroom to the district level. She has designed, led, and delivered numerous professional development opportunities with a focus on creating systemic impact, increasing educator efficacy, and providing organizational support for leaders and educators. Her work is driven by a commitment to closing the opportunity gap for students, grounded in evidence-based practices. She has published research on the impact of job isolation on school administrators, and, most recently, she earned her Ph.D. in educational leadership from George Mason University.
