As instructors, it can be frustrating to see a lack of good writing skills despite dedicated efforts. Join Jenny Hamilton, M.Ed., National Literacy Consultant, in this presentation as she explores why students struggle with writing. She will discuss highly effective strategies you can implement immediately to create better writers, including:
- Ways to connect research to effective practice
- The power of feedback
- How to deliver writing instruction
To help students juggle the necessary high- and low-level cognitive skills, teachers must be equipped to deliver explicit, sequential, and systematic writing instruction. This edWebinar will introduce several multisensory writing strategies, for use with students of all ages, to fill whatever gaps you may face as a teacher of writing.
This session will be of most interest to K-12 teachers, principals, literacy and writing coaches, librarians, and administrators. There will be time for a question and answer session after Jenny’s presentation.
