Engagement: What Every Learner Needs

Presented by Dr. Michael Milone, Nationally Recognized Research Psychologist and Award-Winning Educational Writer; and Tracy Ramey, Interventionist, Patrick Henry Elementary School, Alexandria, VA
Sponsored by Voyager Sopris Learning®

This edWebinar has been canceled. We do our best to try to avoid schedule changes, but sometimes it’s unavoidable. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Engaged students are attentive and interested in what they are doing. They are curious, hopeful about what they can accomplish, and enthusiastic. How do we cultivate these drives in the classroom?

Attend this edWebinar to hear the latest research on the importance of engagement in the classroom. You will learn:

  • How to identify students’ engagement triggers
  • How engagement is strongly related to performance on assessment
  • About the relationship between engagement and technology

Additionally, an elementary school interventionist will share strategies she uses to engage with her students and to provide them with individualized instruction. K-5 teachers, elementary principals, coaches, librarians, and administrators are invited to attend this session. There will be time for questions after the presentation. Join us to learn about creating higher levels of engagement in the classroom.
