Chawanna ChambersAbout the Presenter

Dr. Chawanna Bethany Chambers is a national award-winning and board-certified PK–20 career educator with teaching experience spanning primary, secondary, and higher education. Chawanna’s professional responsibilities have included traditional and online classroom teaching, curriculum development, project management, teacher supervision, instructional coaching, public speaking, board service, and program administration. In 2016, she founded Single Seed Enrichment School Inc., a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of pre-K–12 children in San Antonio, Texas. Her vision for education champions personalized instruction and a culturally competent curriculum that students have a direct voice in creating. Chawanna believes that, with guidance and support, students are more than capable of contributing to the transformation needed in our schools. Through blogging, panels, and Twitter conversations, Chawanna seeks to equip and encourage educators and parents everywhere as they commit to amplifying children’s voices across the world.
