About the Presenters
Grady Burrows is an engineer and an IT guy. He is the Executive Director of HIT in the CLE, an organization that works with high school and college students to provide greater access to computer and data science programs.
Shaun Wilson brings over 20 years of experience in digital learning, business development, client management, sales support, and professional development training. Shaun is an experienced educator who values the student-facing practitioner. Shaun currently serves as a Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, where she leads IBM’s SkillsBuild High School Student Strategy for the US, supporting K-12 school districts and nonprofit organizations with a focus on serving many underserved/underrepresented high school learners through the IBM SkillsBuild programming.
Prior to IBM, Shaun worked at Digital Promise, as a global leader in standards-based digital content for K-12 transforming teaching and learning, and served as a dedicated K-12 school administrator and teacher for over 20 years. Her experience extends beyond the United States borders where she served as an Adult Literacy Coordinator in Cape Town, South Africa. A Los Angeles, California, native, she serves on many nonprofit technology advisory boards and has a passion for improving educational options for all children. Shaun has in-depth knowledge of workforce development topics and is a champion to ensure learners focus on gaining the necessary skills to be successful after high school.
Senior Director of Emerging Technologies and Digital Innovation Jeremy Shorr is an education futurist and an education and workforce consultant at TIES who focuses on innovating the instructional experience for learners of all ages. Jeremy has been recognized as one of the National School Boards Association’s “20 to Watch”; the Ohio Technology-Using Administrator of the Year and Educational Leader Innovator; one of the Center for Digital Education’s “Top 30 Technologists, Transformers, and Trailblazers”; one of the Crain’s Cleveland Business “Forty Under 40”; and was recognized by the Governor of Ohio for service to Ohio’s students. Jeremy is a Certified Educational Technology Leader (CETL), a Google Certified Innovator, an Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE), and a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator. Jeremy was an Educational Policy Fellow with IEL and received his MBA in executive leadership. Jeremy lives with his wife, Kimberly, and his daughters, Lila, Lucy, and Luna, in Twinsburg, Ohio.
