This recorded edWebinar focuses on critical foundational pieces needed for schools and districts when embarking on the implementation of various programs and services meant to positively influence student outcomes and effect change. Viewers will leave with several concrete tools to take back to their organizations as things to look for that can help them assess, strategize, and strengthen any of their current implementations including:

  • Ideas and strategies to build a successful implementation team at district and school levels
  • Innovative suggestions to build clarity across teams and organizations on “why” certain programs and services are implemented
  • Gaining buy-in for the “what” and “how” for onboarding a program or service

David HortonAbout the Presenter

David Horton is a national consultant and presenter. He has served as an assistant superintendent of educational services; a K-12 director of curriculum, instruction, and assessment; coordinator of secondary mathematics and K-12 instructional technology; high school assistant principal; and high school math and science teacher. David’s area of expertise is building systems and structures of organizational leadership that align mission and vision with practice. He is the author of Leading School Teams: Building Trust to Promote Student Learning published by Corwin, co-author of Peer Power: Unite, Learn and Prosper – Activate an Assessment Revolution published by Mimi & Todd, and co-author of the children’s novel Pepper published by Lulu. He currently teaches as an adjunct professor at three Southern California universities.
