About the Presenters
For over 19 years, Leta Dietz Smith has served in the Lee County School District, beginning her career at a Title I elementary school before transitioning into school-based administration at two local middle schools. As the district restructured the Grants Department under Business Services, she assumed management of two major grants—ESSER and Title I. This role deepened her awareness of the need to analyze the return on the district’s instructional investments. With millions of dollars invested and no internal program evaluator, Leta remains committed to ensuring financial responsibility while assessing the effectiveness of educational tools and their impact on student success.
