Meeting the diverse needs of students is one of the greatest challenges educators face, especially when instructional time is limited and learning needs vary widely within a single classroom. While differentiated instruction is essential to a strong Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), putting it into practice can feel overwhelming. How can teachers provide targeted support, keep students meaningfully engaged, and balance digital and print learning experiences without adding more to their plates?
Join us for a practical, classroom-focused edWebinar exploring how purposeful learning rotations can make differentiation more manageable, effective, and sustainable. Through real-world examples from an elementary math classroom and a middle school reading classroom, we'll examine how educators can use student data to create flexible groups, design meaningful, independent learning experiences, and maximize instructional time.
We'll also explore how learning rotations can be adapted for different classroom structures, including the unique challenges of middle school schedules, where teachers must support multiple groups of students across shorter class periods. Whether you're a classroom teacher looking for strategies you can implement tomorrow or a school or district leader supporting consistent instructional practices, you'll leave with actionable ideas for making differentiated instruction work in real classrooms.
In this session, you will explore:
- Grouping with Purpose: Use student data and instructional needs to create flexible groups that support targeted instruction while allowing students to move between groups as their needs change.
- Designing Rotations That Work: Explore practical approaches to structuring teacher-led instruction, collaborative learning, and independent practice across elementary and middle school classrooms.
- Balancing Digital and Print Learning: Make intentional decisions about when technology adds instructional value and when hands-on, collaborative, or print-based experiences are most effective.
- Making Differentiation Sustainable: Discover routines, classroom-management strategies, and leadership practices that make learning rotations manageable within real-world schedules and resources.
This edWebinar will be of interest to K–8 teachers, school leaders, district leaders, and education technology leaders.
