About the Presenters
With 26 years in education, Dr. Beth Pallister has dedicated her career to fostering meaningful student learning experiences and empowering educators. She has served as a middle and high school English teacher, honing her expertise in curriculum and instruction. Now in her third year as the proud principal of Western Branch Middle School, Dr. Pallister holds an MCP School Leader certification and is committed to creating learning environments where students thrive through engaging, authentic learning opportunities. A passionate advocate for teachers, she works to bring sustainability and joy back to the teaching profession. Dr. Pallister believes that happy, well-supported teachers create classrooms where students achieve their highest potential.
With over 25 years in education, Dr. Jataune Jones is a passionate educator and leader dedicated to empowering teachers and administrators to meet the diverse needs of students. She has served as a teacher, assistant principal, staff development administrator, and principal, and currently holds the position of Director of Professional and Organizational Development.
A Fulbright Memorial Fund Scholar and National School Reform Certified Coach, Dr. Jones specializes in educational coaching, grant writing, strategic planning, and professional development. She recently spearheaded the design and implementation of a districtwide coaching model and a professional development framework that foster district cohesion, improve student outcomes, and elevate leadership practices.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Jones thrives on collaborating with stakeholders to solve complex educational challenges. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, beach outings, and time with family, friends, and her lively twin Chihuahuas. Her expertise, dedication, and visionary leadership inspire transformative change in education.
Christine Barford is a former teacher, principal, and leadership coach. After leading both urban and rural schools, Christine supported schools and districts in implementing blended, self-paced, mastery-based instruction for several years, observing classrooms and helping district leaders drive towards student-centered instructional practices.
Robert Barnett co-founded the Modern Classrooms Project, which has empowered 80,000+ educators in 180+ countries to meet every learner’s needs. Before that, he taught math, computer science, English, social studies, and law, from the middle-school to university levels, at public and private schools in the U.S. and abroad. He is the author of Meet Every Learner’s Needs: Redesigning Instruction So All Students Can Succeed and he hopes his children will learn in Modern Classrooms someday!
