The terms “equity,” “inclusivity,” and “diversity” can be heard resounding all over the education space at the moment. Interest and a willingness to break old habits and find new ways of teaching to keep up with our modern world is growing. However, there are still many misconceptions about what these buzzwords actually mean, and how educators can truly implement them into their teaching.

Dr. Desiree Alexander is an educator, author, and speaker with over 20 years of educational experience. This ABAR educator is dedicated to the work of DEI, social justice, and belonging. Join us to break down some of these misconceptions, hear about what an equitable education really means, and learn how to be an active participant in this shift toward a more inclusive learning experience for our students.

This edWebinar will be of interest to high school teachers, school and district leaders, and education technology leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
