The goal of this edWebinar is to illustrate effective ways to teach computational thinking skills to PreK-5 students using hands-on coding solutions. The presentation covers how coding tools serve as creative expression instruments, allowing children to explore programming through storytelling, scene creation, and game projects.

Educators see demonstrations of how these tools can guide students in solving problems using complex logic and completing tasks efficiently. Additionally, practical tips for integrating these tools into existing curricula to teach computational thinking while enhancing creativity and problem-solving skills in young learners are shared. Learning objectives include:

  • Understand the role of fostering computational thinking for young learners
  • Learn how to use robotics and coding to enhance creativity and problem-solving skills in young learners
  • Explore practical strategies for integrating these tools into the classroom to support computational learning

Viewers gain valuable insights into using coding and robotics products to nurture computational thinking in young learners, as well as innovative strategies to create engaging, inclusive, and effective learning environments.

This recorded edWebinar is of interest to PreK-5 teachers, librarians, and education technology leaders.
