Culturally responsive instruction is a necessary practice to engage and promote the advancement of every student. Recognizing the importance of using students’ cultural understandings as a way to make connections and build knowledge, states nationwide have added culturally responsive practices as expectations to their teaching standards. This edWebinar is designed to help educators:

  • Think critically about what culturally responsive instructional practices are
  • Understand how these practices help to shape greater experiences for their students
  • Offer ways to cultivate a more culturally responsive environment through lesson planning and delivery

Viewers walk away with a toolkit of ideas and strategies to bring culturally relevant and responsive practices into their classrooms/instruction. This recorded edWebinar is of interest to K-12 literacy instructors and leaders.
