In this edWebinar, educators learn the important role biliterate writing instruction plays in emerging bilingual learners’ biliteracy development. Using a holistic biliteracy lens, educators learn to interpret emerging bilingual learners’ writing in both languages as assets to be developed starting from kindergarten with instructional guidance. The Social Justice Standards are linked to writing standards to further promote culturally and linguistically sustaining pedagogies as a part of biliterate writing development.
This recorded edWebinar is of interest to PreK-5 teachers.
