Join education and assessment expert Dr. Kelly A. Powell-Smith, Professor of Reading Science at Mount St. Joseph University, as she shares ideas for how educators can maximize the use of MTSS data for decision-making that improves educational outcomes. Dr. Powell-Smith centers her discussion around how to make SMART decisions—those that are Systematic, Measurable, Agile, Reflective, and focused on Teaching.

You walk away from this informative edWebinar with a newfound understanding of:

  • How to better focus (or refocus) the use of MTSS data on the critical educational decisions to be made that will result in improved outcomes
  • How to better target concerns and focus on alterable variables to address them using data
  • How to use your data to set goals and select interventions based upon the best evidence available
  • Treating interventions as hypotheses to be tested and the use of progress monitoring data as a feedback loop

Dr. Powell-Smith shares the application of these ideas in school practice, as well as provides specific examples and recommended resources. This recorded edWebinar is of interest to K-12 teachers, school and district leaders, and education technology leaders.
