Even in a normal school year, the prospect of pausing midyear to analyze data and identify necessary adjustments can feel overwhelming and difficult to fit into schedules. However, in a year where so much has changed and in which students’ needs are so great, it’s more important than ever. A midyear check helps your team celebrate and maximize areas of success as well as pinpoint necessary changes to systems and processes—all while there’s still time in the year to take action and impact student outcomes and experiences. But what should that data analysis look like? How can it be approached in a strategic and time-efficient manner? What lenses should educators take to better understand growth and equity?

About the Presenters
Jaime Harris is a school psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience supporting the needs of students, parents, and educators and helping to build Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, with a particular interest in social-emotional learning and mental health. She was a national nominee and was awarded the Wisconsin School Psychologist of the Year in 2014. Jaime is the co-founder and director of eduCLIMBER at Illuminate Education, where she has consulted and trained districts across the nation to build capacity around practical applications of data.
