About the Presenters

Dr. Sherri N. Wilson is a transformational leader at the forefront of ethical artificial intelligence and digital innovation in K–12 education. She currently serves as the proud Principal of William Dandy Middle School in Broward County Public Schools, returning to the school where she began her leadership journey as an Assistant Principal. Previously, as Director of Innovative Learning for BCPS, Dr. Wilson led districtwide AI initiatives, including the Artificial Intelligence Task Force and governance frameworks, supporting the responsible integration of tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot. Today, she is applying that district-level experience at the school level to expand AI-driven learning opportunities for students and educators. She describes this approach as “Macro to Micro: Management in the Age of AI in Public Schools,” bridging systemwide strategy with practical implementation in teaching, learning, and school leadership.

Dr. Geri Gillespy has extensive experience as an educator and leader with deep expertise in personalized learning, school improvement, and digital transformation—including the use of AI in education. She has held roles as director of instructional technology, superintendent, and adjunct professor, showcasing her dedication to advancing education and leadership. Currently, she serves as a Director, Industry Advisor for Microsoft Elevate in the Americas. Dr. Gillespy is an ISTE Certified Educator, recognized as one of the Top 30 K–12 IT Influencers to Follow in 2025, and was honored among the Leading Women in AI Education.

Leigh Williams is currently the Information Technology Executive for Brisbane Catholic Education, overseeing all digital, information, and IT infrastructure for hundreds of locations and over 13,000 staff. As a passionate, published researcher and advocator in digital innovation and education, Leigh has led keynotes and workshops around the world on digital transformation. Leigh has been in ACARA, NAPLAN, and AITSL advisory groups and has led state and national digital transformation programs. She also provides professional mentorship to early-career women in IT and emerging executive leaders. Leigh holds multiple postgraduate qualifications in education, IT, leadership, management, and business, and has completed study at Harvard University and with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Allie Thompson is a Senior Marketing Manager with Microsoft Education and a former special education teacher. In her current role, she leads integrated marketing efforts for education, with a focus on event strategy, customer storytelling, and engagement. During more than six years at Microsoft, Allie has held product and integrated marketing roles spanning Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365 Copilot, technical skilling, community engagement, and education. Before joining Microsoft, Allie worked extensively in special education, including as a middle school special education teacher with Chicago Public Schools, where she taught across subject areas, managed IEPs, supported students in both self-contained and inclusion settings, and led professional learning on differentiated instruction. Her career brings together firsthand classroom experience with expertise in technology, marketing, community building, and AI adoption, giving her a unique perspective on how technology can meaningfully support educators and learners.
