Artificial intelligence is reshaping how students learn, communicate, and make decisions, and educators play a critical role in helping them navigate this landscape with confidence and care. This edWebinar will support your preparation for National AI Literacy Day on March 27 and strengthen AI‑ready instruction across grade levels.
The session will highlight practical, age‑appropriate strategies for teaching AI and digital citizenship—from early digital habits to media analysis, responsible creation, and algorithmic awareness. You’ll explore how free resources like My Digital Life and the Digital Citizenship Initiative can anchor instruction, spark curiosity, and help students understand how AI influences their choices, creativity, and digital identities through ready‑to‑use lessons, interactive scenarios, and student‑centered activities.
Attendees will learn:
- Instructional strategies for all grade bands, from foundational digital habits to advanced media literacy and AI‑supported inquiry
- Classroom routines that build critical thinking, responsible tech use, and safe exploration
- Guidance for integrating free, high‑quality, standards-aligned resources to support instruction before, during, and after AI Literacy Day
- Ideas for empowering students to use AI tools thoughtfully, safely, and with a strong sense of agency
This edWebinar will be of interest to K-12 teachers, librarians, school leaders, district leaders, and education technology leaders.
