About the Presenter
Sammie Burman is a dedicated educator with an entire career devoted to the field of education. Holding a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, a master’s degree in education, and a master’s +30 in educational technology, Sammie’s academic achievements are a testament to her expertise. Throughout her diverse roles, Sammie’s focus has consistently revolved around nurturing and empowering others. Commencing her journey as an early childhood educator in a Title One school, her passion to effect positive change was ignited by the impactful teachers who shaped her. Over time, this evolved into a zeal for cultivating and coaching fellow educators, leading her to excel as an educational technology coach within her school district.
Sammie’s trajectory progressed to the realm of higher education, where she served as an instructor, field placement, and educational technology coordinator in her university’s College of Education. Her dedication extended further as the current Director of Learning and Development at BookNook, overseeing customer training and tutor professional development, all with the aim of inspiring users to make a difference in the lives of their students.
