Google Apps for Education – It’s a New Year!
In this Emerging Tech webinar, Elisabeth LeBris, Director of Library Technology Services at Kenilworth Public Schools in Illinois, joined Michelle Luhtala, Head Librarian at New Canaan High School in Connecticut, to share her expertise as a K-12 school librarian in a small school with well-established Google Apps practice. She shared elementary Google applications while Michelle Luhtala focused on 9-12 uses. The presenters addressed the power of Chrome user profiles and the Chrome app store, along with practical applications for newly “partitioned” mobile Google apps, such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

Emerging Tech is a professional learning community (PLC) where school librarians can explore all the ways to integrate technology and 21st century learning into school library programs. The community hosts free monthly webinars and live chats. Online discussions provide an easy way to continue the conversation and share ideas and experiences with peers across the country, and around the world. You’ll have an opportunity to collaborate with other librarians as you learn about and explore the many uses of technology in school libraries. This program is sponsored by Follett.
